Find the Perfect Men’s Swimsuits & Swimwear

Shop men's swimwear for competition, training, and the beach. Men's swimwear and swimwear for men covers jammers, briefs, square legs, and tech suits for the lap lane, plus swim trunks, board shorts, and Euro briefs for the pool and surf. SwimOutlet carries men's bathing suits in waist sizes 22 through 44 and S through XXXL, in chlorine-resistant polyester for daily training and quick-dry fabric for recreational swim. Filter by cut, size, fabric, and use to find the right suit for the pool, deck, or beach.

Men's swimwear splits into two clear groups: performance suits for competitive swimming and training, and recreational suits for the beach, pool, and resort. Most age-group, masters, and triathlon swimmers own at least one suit from each side of the split. The right choice comes down to coverage, fabric, and how often the suit hits chlorine.

Performance Swimwear for Training and Racing

  • Jammers: Mid-thigh compression suits, the most popular pick for daily lap swimming and high school programs. See men's swim jammers for the full range.

  • Briefs and Square Legs: Minimum-drag racing cuts. Briefs sit at the natural waist with a 2 to 3 inch side seam; square legs add 4 to 6 inches of leg coverage. See men's swim briefs.

  • Tech Suits: Championship-meet racing suits with bonded seams and hydrophobic fabric, worn for finals. See men's tech suits.

  • Drag Suits and Water Polo Suits: Drag suits add intentional resistance over a training jammer for in-water strength work. Water polo suits use heavy-weight polyester and reinforced seams to survive grabbing and pulling.

Recreational Swimwear for the Beach and Pool

  • Swim Trunks: Quick-dry shorts with mesh liner and elastic waist, in 5 to 9 inch inseams. The casual default for the pool, beach, and travel. See men's swim trunks.

  • Board Shorts: Longer 17 to 22 inch inseams with lace fly and stiffer fabric for surf and paddle sports. See men's board shorts.

  • Euro Briefs: Snug fashion briefs in prints and low-rise cuts in quick-dry nylon-spandex. Required at most European public pools where loose shorts are banned.

Sizing Across Cuts

Performance suits run by waist measurement in inches, typically 22 to 44. Briefs, jammers, and tech suits should fit snug enough that you feel compression when dry; they loosen in water, so a suit that feels tight at home will fit correctly in the pool. Trunks and board shorts use S to XXXL sizing based on waist circumference. Size up a half from your training jammer when buying a tech suit.

Fabric and Chlorine Resistance

Chlorine resistance is the single biggest factor in suit lifespan. Polyester and PBT blends used in Sporti and iSwim training suits hold color and elasticity far longer than Lycra and elastane blends, which feel softer but break down faster. For four or more pool sessions a week, polyester is the better long-term value; for occasional pool, beach, or resort use, comfort-blend fabric is fine.
